Meh.

It looked as though you applied rotoscoping techniques to an anime, which is a laughable concept, since an anime is a toon to begin with. If those were your own animations (meaning you didn't trace the animation from a movie clip) then props to you for that.

HOWEVER...

It wasn't original at all, since you're in effect just reproducing something that's already been animated (at a much lower quality, due to the limitations of flash and your own skill). The style leaves a lot to be desired because of that.

And the sound was pretty bad. Although it was nice of you to introduce some different bgm, it was impossible for you to eradicate all the other music from the orginal voicing tracks. What it resulted in was a garbled mess whenever a character tried to talk.

The bedroom noises joke was funny. :P

Develop your own content. Make a totally new DBZ toon. Then you'll have a much higher quality animation. Until then, this'll be nothing but a cheap reproduction. :(

Not bad.

I liked the overall concept, but the two-dimensional animation and tweeny movement kept distracting me. xD Still, you have a decent toon here. ;) I like the form of retribution the protagonist chose, lol.

And was I trippin', or was that Laputa music in the first part? o_0 I kept trying to sing Kimi wo Nosete, lol. >_<

I loved the idea...

... but the graphics really need improvement. ;) Rotoscoping is easy; you just have to be patient. Next time you should trace his whole body; don't turn him into a choppy stick figure. ;) Sticks are good in the right places (if the animation is smooth) but I think this one called for a full rotoscoped figure. :P Keep at it though. You have a sense of humor, and that's more important, in my book. ;)

Hahah! You sound funny! =3

Blordow sounds like an irish Munchkin. Who knew?

Lol. Great stuff. It's a quickie though, and I wanna see more, longer stuff from ye. Get back in your dungeon and animate, says I. -_- Don't make me break out the leeches and scream again...

Blordow responds:

Irish Munchkin? That's different. Btw that's not my REAL voice, it's just edited the pitch :P

thanks!

Yay! Reminds me of Captain Planet, only greener!

Lol. I like this guy. He so silly and briny. :P And the Rocky music makes the whole thing. xD Plus, you can't go wrong with dragons made of oatmeal, pickles, and doom. :P Rock on. This five is for you. ^_^

Nice message, decent graphics. ;)

Well, first off, I liked the message. Am I correct in thinking that the idea of "TRUTH" is not an absolute? That real truth may be depend on the individual, and differ from one person to the next?

Anyway, I liked it - the message, I mean. And like I said, the graphics were decent. Could have been a lot more refined and cleaned up, and you need to work on the fluidity of your movement. ;) But the boldness of your animation shows that you're not afraid to take chances either, so I can see you getting better and better as you work at it. Good job. I'd like to see more stuff from you. :P

Steampunk responds:

Thanks for a positive review! Yeah you got the point correct. I was gonna make it more straight forward but instead decided to take a chance and not patronise the viewer, nice to see ppl can understand the message.

Hahahah... I thought it was going to suck!

But I couldn't stop watching it. XD It has a cute charm all to itself, and I loved it. :P

The Breakdown:
Graphics:
I gave you a 7 because although the drawings were kawaii and mostly well-done, they lacked fluid movement and color. Although it's true that not all good animation has to have color, I thought it really would have made this more complete. ;)

Style:
I liked your style a lot. :P The chibis coupled with the animals made for an adorable setting. Good job!

Sound:
I'm not a huge fan of the hamster dance, but the sound quality was good, and your synch quality was good too.

Violence:
There wasn't really any, but you get partial credit for sticking a fork in Kyuubi. :P

Interactivity:
Play button, replay button. Bare minimum requirements met. :P

Humor:
Great style of humor. I liked it very much. Keep working at it and improve, though!

Overall:
I liked this a lot. :P It got repetitive in places, but held my interest throughout. I'm not sorry I clicked this. Good job!

Okaaay...

Well, that was weird. Mildly funny though. Oh, and that static sound killed my ears. -_-; You need to make your sound volume more consistent throughout the flash.

Good job as a first try tho. :P Keep working at it. :)

Man...

Not a bit of animation in there. Not one bit.

I know how to deal with my problems. I'm not one of these lunatics who just erupts one day in a fit of rage, killing random people and barking the alphabet. So maybe your "flash" doesn't apply to me.

At any rate, I scored you based on the standards I expect of an animation at Newgrounds. As yours had no animation in it, you can draw your own conclusions about the individual scoring.

However, since your soliloquy had a bit of a decent message to it, I voted to protect it. Good luck with that. I don't have high hopes for it, but you never know...

Oh, and that smoking bit made you sound kind of raspy. You might want to consider just having yourself out there, rather than leaning on a nicotine crutch. Just a thought.

Lol. Not bad. :P

Heehee. This really is more of an inside joke to those of us who've seen the ending credits to CCS. :P But I liked seeing your take on it. The psycho sun in the beginning made me laugh. xD Seriously, I went back to watch it again and paused the movie to take a good look at it. Hilarious. XD That's why I gave you a high humor score. ;)

Graphics were great as far as the backgrounds go, but your take on Kero-chan could have been a lot more fluid. Good job on putting the shadows underneath him - good eye for detail there. The only things I would have changed would be to increase the framerate a bit and add some extra frames into his leaps. :P But not bad for what it is. Graphics got a 7 because I liked the backgrounds.

Style got a poor score. It's not so much a slam against your movie as it is the fact that you were really just repeating something that's already been done. ;) Everyone needs to start somewhere, and emulating an already good idea is a fine place to start. Don't let my low score discourage you.

No violence, no score.

Interactivity, you had the play and replay buttons. Bare minimum.

Shipp responds:

Thanks, I was beginning to think nobody on Newgrounds has seen CCS. I intentionally put fewer frames to his leap because I just wanted to make my cat doing the same thing Kero does, but since he doesn't have wings, he stayed in the air for less time.

I like zucchini. Do you like zucchini? :P~~
